Show #8 – Live From The Land of Jan

Feb 20th, 2006 | By | Category: Podcasts

This week’s show is coming to you from The Land of Jan (Ullrich, that is) . . . Germany! I am here on a business trip and had time for a short podcast this week. Sorry, in advance, for the awful audio. I only had so much room in my luggage, so the good microphone and mixer were left at home.

In this show’s news: The Tour of California starts Sunday; the UCI says NO to the Grand Tour Trophy; Was a cyclist killed by her iPod?; OLN announces this year’s schedule of cycling telecasts; It’s National Bike Wise Week in New Zealand; and is it okay to drink and ride in South Dakota?

In the features section:Audio comment from Erik at the WielerJournaal podcast; a few brief words about my initial experiences with the Garmin Edge cycling GPS; are you having problems with The FredCast 6 & 7?; and a couple of shoutouts.

You can listen to the show directly by clicking here, you can subscribe to it in iTunes, or you can use the RSS feed in whatever pod catching client you use.

Enjoy the show and don’t forget to send me your feedback! I love getting your e-mails and voice mails!

  1. Love your show – and you sound totally hot – too bad you’re married :-)!

  2. Another fine show!

  3. I’m really enjoying your show, David, and have put up a link to your site & podcast on my blog. Have you considered making available your “Fredcast” cartoon (as is shown in ITunes) or another banner for posting elsewhere on the web?

    Keep up the good work!

  7. These pod casts are great, beats music in the car. I would love to hear more about the cycling computers with altimeters. I understand how they work, but some comparitive information, reliability.
