Show 2.1 – The Garage Band Hiccup

Good thing my family wanted to listen to The FredCast on our way to visiting my mother-in-law and her husband for Christmas. I don’t know how or why Garage Band hiccuped, but it cut off a bunch of my audio, thereby making some of the news stories almost incoherent (I mean more than usual, of course!). Anyway, I re-edited it in the airport before our flight left for the frozen north and hope you’ll forgive the glitch.

Merry Christmas! Happy Hannukah! Happy Kwanza! Happy Holidays!

Show #2 – The FredCast Holiday Gift Guide

Hello fellow Freds! The second episode of The FredCast is now available!

The second episode of The FredCast includes a variety of news and views from around the world, including a rather surprising story of how Lance Armstrong could end up with a jail sentence in Italy! In the main portion of the show, I bring you the first annual FredCast Holiday Gift Guide, including gifts ranging in price from $13 up to $7,000 and above.

UPDATE: This show was mangled by Garage Band and has been pulled from the server. Please download Show #2.1 (see above) and thanks for your understanding!

Show #1

Hello fellow Freds! The first episode of The FredCast is finally available!

Phew! That was more work than I expected. I bought and returned three microphones and two mixers, ran into GarageBand’s dreaded 999 measure limitation, lost the show notes (after completing them in their entirety), stayed up way too late (4:00 a.m.), butchered my RSS feed and xml files more times than I care to admit, and finally got everything configured the way I want. I know the sound needs some work, but I promise things will get better. I just hope this all gets easier from this point forward.

You can listen to the show directly by clicking here, you can subscribe to it in iTunes, or you can use the RSS feed in whatever pod catching client you use.

Enjoy the show and don’t forget to send me your feedback!
