Follow me with Twitter

Okay, so I’ve decided to give Twitter a try. Follow what I’m doing as I go about my day by joining twitter or just by clicking here.

I’ve added my Twitter status to the right-hand side of the page so that you can check back here often to see what’s up with me. You can also join Twitter and add me as a favorite. My user name is FredCast (duh!). Give it a try and let me know what you think. My jury is still out on Twitter, but since everyone seems to love it so much I thought I’d give it a try.

New Poll: Do You Ride with an iPod?

Scroll down a bit and check out the new poll on the right-hand side of the page. Here’s the question: How often do you use an iPod (or other listening device) on your rides?

I’ll be interested to see the results.

By the way, here are the results of the last poll which asked, How Often Do You Wear a Helmet?

On Every Ride – 582 Votes
On Some Rides – 22 Votes
Rarely – 6 Votes
Never – 11 Votes

This Week’s Show . . . Slightly Delayed

Kaboom! You all know about the best laid plans, right? This week’s show falls into that category.

Yesterday, a critical computer at work decided to implode (sorry, I couldn’t find a photo of an imploding computer) so I was up all night working on its replacement. I will be working on it today all the way until I get on my plane to Washington, DC, for the League of American Bicyclists’ Bike Summit.

Expect a show in the next few days, but know that I’m dutifully working on more great FredCast stuff as I attend this year’s Bike Summit.

In the meantime, if there’s anything you want me to tell your government about cycling, or if there is anything you’d like me to check out at the Bike Summit, just shoot me an email. If you’re attending, please find me and introduce yourself. I would love to meet you!

Thanks, as always, for your patience and for listening to The FredCast!

New Cycling Music Podcast

I just stumbled across a new podcast called The Cadence Revolution. It’s all podsafe cycling music from the Podsafe Music Network and I’m enjoying the choices they’ve made. They’ve only posted one show so far, but I am looking forward to hearing more. Check it out.
