4th Interbike Show COMING SOON!

Hello Fello Freds.

The fourth and final installment of The FredCast from Interbike 2006 is on the way soon. I just need to edit the interviews and put them into the show, but between getting home at midnight last night and attending the Portable Media and Podcast Expo today and tomorrow, I’m still not done. Expect to see the show in the next couple of days.

In the meantime, enjoy the three previous shows this week and (you know what’s coming, don’t you) . . . enjoy the ride!   😉

My apologies for th. . .

To the 475 of you who downloaded Show #37 before I fixed the glitch, my apologies. GarageBand once again cut-off the last few seconds of most of my comments. Thanks to my lovely wife, Donna, I found out about the problem and re-uploaded a repaired version of the show.

Sorry about that!

Update on Upload Problems

UPDATE (9/26/06 11:00 am PDT):

It turns out that the problem was not with my host, but rather with the lame high speed internet access at my hotel here in Las Vegas. They have a firewall or some sort of router throttling that would not allow me to upload a large file to the host. Thanks to Marty at LibSyn for spending so much time with me this morning to troubleshoot this problem. So . . . off to Starbucks I went and my morning was sort of like a MasterCard commercial . . .

Drive to Starbucks — $.49 in gas

Grande Caramel Frappucino — $3.99

One Day of T-Mobile HotSpot Access — $9.99

Clarification on Frankie Andreu Story in Show #33

I received an email today from listener John who wanted to point out that I made a mistake in my reporting of the facts of the Frankie Andreu EPO story in Show #33. John pointed out that I incorrectly stated that Frankie and another teammate on the 1999 U.S. Postal Service team used EPO “several times during the race” (meaning the Tour de France). That is not correct, and I regret and apologize for the misstatement.

The correct statement is that Frankie has admitted to using EPO leading up to the race.

This wasn’t intentional, it was just a misstatement pure and simple. I will be certain to also correct this at the very beginning of the next show for those listeners who may not visit the web site on a regular basis.
My thanks to listener John for pointing out this misstatement of the facts.
