What’s up with The FredCast?

Nov 20th, 2007 | By | Category: General

“Where’s the next episode?”

“You promised you’d get back to a regular schedule!”

“I can’t live without my FredCast fix!”

These are just a fraction of the comments I’ve received in my in box lately and I can’t say that I blame you. I promised to get back to a regular schedule with the show and so far I have broken that promise. For that, you have my humblest apologies.

The fact of the matter is that I simply have not been able to get back to a regular schedule for a wide variety of reasons. Among them, still getting settled into the new house, adjusting to and getting caught up on my new job, a variety of family events, several business trips, and even a really bad cold which I am battling now (trust me, you don’t want to hear my voice in your ear buds today). Don’t feel slighted, dear listeners, I haven’t even been on a bike in nearly a month!

In the meantime, I have continued to gather news, work on product reviews, line up interviews and just generally do show prep. I will get back on track very soon. I just need your patience for a few days longer.

Besides . . . I’ve already started gathering some great giveaways for our 100th show celebration and I have a planning meeting coming up in a few weeks for the FredCast Tour in June, when we’ll ride from Salzburg to Venice! So don’t worry, I’m not going away.

Thanks for your patience and your understanding.

David

P.S. In the meantime, stop speculating about Lance Armsrong and Ashley Olsen. He says they’re just friends.

  1. ouch! That Lance Armstrong article only gave him credit for winning 6 tours.

  2. Aaah choo! I’m getting over a very nasty cold myself. I spent three days in bed and still feel like junk. Get well soon!

  3. A cold…? After your riding round on a chariot, half naked – I’m not at all surprised!

    😉

  4. Ah yes, the chariot ride. Good times.

  5. P.S.

    Get well soon.

  6. Not been on a bike for a month? Purgatory!

Have a good Thanksgiving, and, yes, get well soon.

  7. Thanks for the Thanksgiving wishes, Carlton.

And thanks to everyone for the get well wishes. My voice decided to depart last night and is still AWOL. As soon as it returns, so will The FredCast. Sorry, everyone!

  8. David,

It’s still raining here (Germany), three years now, hasn’t stopped but for brief blissful moments… I think I need to get a trainer. If you are looking at reviewing something, I’d like to hear your opinions on them. The 1-up CPR a 2000 gets good reviews, but, I don’t have a clue when it comes to these things.

If you know of a heart rate monitor that is a stand alone (so I can run) and is compatible with a Garmin 305, let me know as well.

Take care, hope your Thanksgiving was good. Can’t wait for 21 December (or thereabouts).

    Dave

  9. Well….. If talking’s out of the question…..

How about posting The-Spokesmen show 24??

    😉

  10. Ignore any negative stuff coming your way– if people can’t deal with you having a life, perhaps they should look at their own and go get one for themselves.

    Get well!!

Look forward to hearing you again
