happy birthday! only 40!? i’ll hit the big 5-0 next february but i can’t agree with you more when it comes to the positive effects cycling has had on my life–physically, spiritually & emotionally. i’m proud to say that my ministering to friends and acquaintances on what cycling can do for their lives has prompted many to become cyclists themselves. when it comes to your comments on doping in professional cycling all i can say (and i think you’ll understand) is that you’re a mench dave and i couldn’t agree with you more. you probably heard today that floyd landis has tested positive for elevated testosterone levels and is suspended from phonak pending further testing. it just goes on and on. but i really just wanted to congratulate you on 4-0 and your nomination too and to thank you again for the hard work and invaluable information and service that you provide. onward to 5-0 and pedal just a little bit harder.

I’m with you on doping. It seems weird that some people would argue that they are concerned about the riders, their livelihoods, and their families and also advocate that the riders poison their bodies.
