  1. I’ve really enjoyed your talks with Graeme Street and his philosophy of training on a bicycle. The best all-body exercise routine I ever did was very similar in philosophy to Graeme’s ideas – you didn’t have to have a super-long ride every day to improve, all you needed was a few varied high-intensity exercises (the “chunks”) mixed with some longer stretches – interval training, basically. And then combine that with muscle confusion, which workouts like P90X use to keep your muscles from getting used to any one kind of training and therefore constantly trying to adapt to the training it’s getting.

I plan on starting some road-biking work for the first time this summer in preparation for some long rides and races that my wife wants to do this fall and next year, including triathlon relays and the like, and when I do I will be signing up for Cyclo-Club. Thanks to both David and Graeme for this inclusion into the best road cycling podcast on the internet!
