The Agony of Defeat
Feb 16th, 2008 | By Fredcaster | Category: GeneralI know you’re tired of excuses, but . . .
I planned to do a show this afternoon as a prelude to the Amgen Tour of California. The plan was to ski a few hours, then come home and do a FredCast/Daily Tour episode.
The ski slopes had something else in store for me. I crashed on the first run of the day, turning my face into hamburger (think Robert Deniro as Jake LeMotta in Raging Bull) and fracturing my thumb. Most likely, I will require surgery.
Luckily for you, I was wearing my GoPro Helmet Hero (and luckily for me, I was wearing a helmet) so that you can enjoy The Agony of Defeat:
Ouch… You know I thought my podcast feed reader wasn’t working or something. Seeing as tomorrow is the Tour of California, I was sure you’d be -casting and episode.
Sure enough, it wasn’t my reader that is broken, but rather your thumb. I’m sure that camera will be working nicely on your tour. It’s a bit bouncy on this video, but on your bike, i think it’ll be stable enough to really enjoy.
Sorry your first video to share turned out to be a wreck. Wish you the speediest recovery!
Wow – sorry to see that your ski day turned to agony so quickly.
I hope your recovery goes smoothly!
Wow, those GoPro cams really are clear, aren’t they? Ouch!
Good luck with the recovery
OUCH!!! Poor you! Hope you recover well with no scars.
